Kimberley Dahme, how is it that you are so great?

On my recent writing trip to Nashville, I went to a show of female songwriters at a local club. After two +hours I was leaving but then I sat down to listen to a song from the next performer, mostly beacuse she had had beautiful orange wrap on. Turns out she was astounding.

Kimberley Dahme is a great singer and performer with really memorable material--part Bonnie Raitt, part Shawn Colvin and part Lucinda Williams--and all her own! I went over to her and gushed a while and she gave me a free cd. I put in the player on the way back and couldn't stop listening to it. I could NOT believe this was an independent release--it was soooo cool--the singing was warm and sexy, the songs were really really good, and the band and arragements were fantastic.
