Lois Willows

This is a photograph of Lois Willows. She served for many years on the Spiritual Assembly of the Baha'is of Los Angeles, went to Hawai to help develop the Baha'i community there and worked as a movie and television actress. She was in many Westerns during the 50's (?) as Lois Hall. She encouraged me to begin travelling around the world to visit Baha'i communities and groups. At the time she was coordinating the visits of American Baha'is to Siberia. After one trip, I flew in from Siberia and landed in L.A.. That night. Lois picked me up. The next morning I was at a sidewalk cafe in Beverly Hills! Lois and I both attended the National Convention of the Baha'is of the United States for many years. I always really loved seeing her and we would catch up. She was very down to earth and very spiritual, very warm and very direct. She was one my favorite people. I'll miss her and think of her often.
Her are some photos from her funeral, mostly of me, sorry. She is buried in a cemetery in Inglewood. It has very high walls so you can't see all the roads that are right outside. It has rolling hills and palm trees.

The hall in which the service took place is up on the hill behind me:
